The name "The Wash" promotes the concept of renewal and cleansing. We want people to come away from the festival with new friends and ideas and a sense of renewed self-worth and understanding for their fellows. We aspire to improve ourselves and our growing community, building an idealism that both flourishes at the festival, and that we can take home with us.

We feel that having fun and being fulfilled come from activities that nurture the mind, soul, community, and environment. We hope to bring this fulfillment to those around us by sharing skills, ideas, and entertainment in a culture that focuses on people and connections rather than things and consumption.
